Dandruff problem! hav tried dandruff treatment and popular anti dandruff shampoos.not working.Suggestions?

I have fought dandruff and flaking too and it seemed like none of the shampoos worked. I was told that a good condtioning oil would help and found a product called Wildroot Creme oil in the men's hair section at Walgreens. About once a week I wet my hair down, then apply the Wildroot liberally and massage it into my scalp and hair. I comb my hair back and leave it in all day. Then wash it out with normal shampoo. My scalp no longer flakes, and my hair is in great condition.Dandruff problem! hav tried dandruff treatment and popular anti dandruff shampoos.not working.Suggestions?
When you wash your hair, make sure you are rinsing it throughly.

That may be your problem, not dandruff.Dandruff problem! hav tried dandruff treatment and popular anti dandruff shampoos.not working.Suggestions?
try a shampoo with tea tree oil, those dandruff shampoos generally dont work, they just pack down the dandruff and you think its working. they also tend to dry out your hair and create alot of build up.
Try a deep conditioner you may not have dandruff just a dry scalp. Drinking lots of water will help too.
have u tried selsum blue? if so then use it and scrub your head hard with it. then wash and scrub it out really really good. after that (same shower not a seperate one) use a normal shampoo and scrub the same. then use a normal conditioner and scrub the same. make sure to get all of the soap out of your hair. that should help.
An effective dandruff shampoo is nizoral, which has a 1 or 2% solution of an antifungal. Avoid any shampoo with zinc pyrithone or selenium sulfide. They burn your scalp and will make it itch and flake even more.

Also avoid shampoo with eucalyptus or heavy fragrance.

If you have acne, its probably linked to your dandruff problem. If you get treatment such as antibiotics, you will find your dandruff problem gets better along with your skin.

So try nizoral for a week, then use a gentle low or fragrance free shampoo for 2-3 weeks, then repeat.
It could be fungal and you may need a prescription-strength anti-fungal shampoo and/or pill called Diflucan. Your doctor will have to test some of the flakes to see how to treat it! Good luck! :)
Well u can try to use the dandruff shampoo from walmart the Equate brand, that seemed to work for mom. she tried all the expensive brands, and Equate worked
I know this sounds crazy, but it works. Listerene. Apply in a spray bottle or with a cotton ball. Use the original brown. No blue or orange stuff. This is also supposed to keep lice away.
I have dandruff to so my mom uses Motions and Olive oil shampoos and conditioners they really work but also you may have growing dandruff which makes your hair grow (that's what i have). Also all of the dandruff won't leave your hair but a good scratch while washing gets out the dandruff wash your hair a good 2 or 3 times every 3 to 4 weeks.
