i thought dandruff was simply dead skin. how do these shampoos work?How do anti dandruff shampoos work ?

By moisturising the scalp, preventing more dead skin from falling off. Just like when you wash your face with something too strong and it gets a little flaky, then you have to exfoliate (like when you massage your head while washing your hair), then you moisturise
